c. Prompt written notice of the final decision to the program participant within <br /> 10 days of the final decision. <br /> C. Termination under this section does not bar the subrecipient from providing further <br /> assistance at a later date to the same family or individual. A program participant <br /> whose assistance was previously terminated may resume assistance if and when the <br /> reasons for termination have been rectified. <br /> 3.17 — Participation of People with lived <br /> Experiences of Homelessness <br /> To the maximum extent practicable, the subrecipients must involve homeless individuals <br /> and families in constructing,renovating,maintaining,and operating facilities assisted under <br /> ESG, in providing services assisted under ESG, and in providing services for occupants of <br /> facilities assisted under ESG. This involvement may include employment or volunteer <br /> services. <br /> Subrecipients must document participation with signed verification of the employee or <br /> volunteer that they have experienced homelessness. <br /> A. Subrecipients must provide for the participation of not less than one homeless <br /> individual or formerly homeless individual on the board of directors or other <br /> equivalent policy-making entity of the subrecipient, to the extent that the entity <br /> considers and makes polices and decisions regarding any facilities,services,or other <br /> assistance that receive funding under Emergency Solutions Grant(ESG). <br /> B. If the subrecipient is unable to meet the requirement under paragraph (A), it must <br /> instead develop and implement a plan to consult with homeless or formerly <br /> homeless individuals in considering and making policies and decision regarding any <br /> facilities, services, or other assistance that receive funding under Emergency <br /> Solutions Grant(ESG).The plan must be included in the annual action plan required <br /> under 24 CFR 91.220. <br /> C. To the maximum extent practicable, the subrecipient must involve homeless <br /> individuals and families in constructing, renovating, maintaining, and operating <br /> facilities assisted under ESG, in providing services assisted under ESG, and in <br /> providing services for occupants of facilities assisted under ESG.
