Originally built in 1923, the project will unfold in two (2) <br /> phases with a total private investment of one million,six hundred thirty-one thousand,five hundred <br /> dollars ($1,631,500). In the first(Is') phase, a portion of the building will be renovated to create a <br /> shared commercial kitchen and food market. The second (2°d) phase will focus on converting the <br /> remaining square footage into a boutique hotel. This redevelopment aims to boost the local <br /> economy, with businesses operating in the space expected to hire at least eight (8) new full-time <br /> employees and retain three (3) existing full-time positions. To support this initiative, the project <br /> will benefit from two (2) tax abatements: a two-year (2) Vacant Building Tax Abatement and an <br /> eight-year (8) Mixed-Use Development Real Property Tax Abatement. These abatements will <br /> allow EmpowerHer to focus more resources on the renovation.The total investment of one million, <br /> six hundred thirty-one thousand, five hundred dollars($1,631,500)is projected to bring substantial <br /> long-term economic benefits to the Monroe Park area, including increased employment <br /> 10 <br />
