Leszczynski <br />Director, Public Works November 15, 1982 <br />Members of the Common Council <br />441 County -City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />Dear Councilmen: <br />The attached is an ordinance requesting an appropriation of <br />$14,000.00 from the Federal Assistance Grant, commonly referred <br />to as General Revenue Sharing, for the repair of truck lifts for <br />1982 to be administered by the Bureau of Traffic & Lighting <br />within the General Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />The lifts are used for the repair and maintenance of our traffic <br />signal equipment. We have contacted several repair companies and <br />they have recommended that we not use the lifts until they are <br />repaired. The newest lift was purchased in 1974.
