<br /> <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />STUDEBAKER NATIONAL MUSEUM <br />SKYLIGHT REPLACEMENT FLASHING AND SHEET METAL 07600-1 <br />SECTION 07600 – FLASHING AND SHEET METAL <br /> <br />A. Scope <br /> <br />1. Provide labor, materials, and equipment necessary for complete installation of flashing and <br />sheet metal work, including manufactured systems. Work under this section includes, but <br />is not limited to: <br /> <br />a. Flashing/step flashing. <br /> <br />b. Sealants and bonding agents between components of this section and between <br />the roof and other materials. <br /> <br />2. Related Documents: The provisions of the General Conditions, Supplementary <br />Conditions, and the sections included under Division 1, General Requirements, are <br />included as a part of this section as though bound herein. <br /> <br />3. Related Work Specified Elsewhere: <br /> <br />a. Section 08952 TRANSLUCENT SKYLIGHTS. <br /> <br />4. General: Provide and install all accessories and items essential for the completeness of <br />the sheet metal installation. Such items, unless otherwise shown on the Drawings or <br />specified, shall be the same kind of material as the item to which applied. Nails, screws, <br />and bolts shall be of the types suited for the purpose intended and shall be compatible with <br />the metal to which it will contact. <br /> <br />5. Forming and assembling of sheet metal components shall be performed using methods <br />that will not void the manufacturer's 20-year finish or 5-year spray coated warranty. <br /> <br />6. Submittals: <br /> <br />a. Product Data, Flashing, and Accessories: Manufacturer's technical product data, <br />installation instructions and general recommendations for each specified sheet <br />material and fabricated product. <br /> <br />b. Submit complete color choice samples of the following flashing, sheet metal and <br />accessory items: <br />1) Specified sheet materials to be exposed as finished surfaces. <br />2) Factory fabricated products exposed as finish work. <br /> <br />c. Shop drawings showing layout, profiles, methods of joining, and anchorage details, <br />including major counterflashing, trim/fascia units, scuppers and downspouts. <br /> <br />7. Quality Assurance: <br /> <br />a. Where pre-engineered manufactured systems are specified, other field fabricated <br />or shop/field fabricated substitutions will not be accepted. However, where <br />shop/field fabrications are indicated pre-engineered systems will be considered <br />with Architect approval. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
