7. The design does not include improvements to existing roadway pavement or guardrails <br />within the project vicinity, or modifications to existing pavement marking lane alignments <br />or movement directions for motor vehicle traffic at the project vicinity. <br />8. Provide preliminary design plan drawings, specifications/contract documents and cost <br />estimate information to the City Engineering Department for review and comments and <br />meet to discuss comments. <br />9. Coordinate with the City to include the appropriate WBE/DBE percentage requirements for <br />the bidders in the bid documents. <br />10. Revise preliminary design information to prepare and certify the final design bid package <br />and engineer's estimate. <br />11. Perform utility coordination with affected utilities as necessary. <br />A1.03 Bidding Assistance <br />1. Assist the City in preparing the Notice to Bidders, advertising for, and obtaining bids by <br />qualified construction contractor bidders. <br />2. Attend a pre -bid meeting with the City and bidding contractors. <br />3. Attend the bid opening. <br />4. Review received bids in detail and advise the City for a recommended awarding of the bid. <br />5. Prepare an itemized tabulation of all bids received. <br />6. Assist the City in preparing the Contract Document between the City and the awarded <br />Bidder. <br />A1.04 Part -Time On -Call Inspection <br />1. Attend the pre -construction meeting. <br />2. Asist the City Engineering Department inspection efforts with part-time inspection on an <br />on -call basis for key construction operations and to contribute to design -related <br />construction discussions as necessary. <br />3. Construction materials testing is not included in the services by the Engineer. <br />A1.05 Construction Administration <br />1. Review Contractor's shop drawings and material certification submittals. <br />2. Prepare any necessary change orders. <br />3.
