This is EXHIBIT A, consisting of 3 pages, referred to in <br />and part of the Agreement between Owner and Engineer <br />for Professional Services dated , <br />Engineer's Services <br />Article 1 of the Agreement is supplemented to include the following agreement of the parties. <br />Engineer shall provide Basic and Additional Services as set forth below regardomg the proposed traffic <br />signal system and intersection improvements at the intersection of Cleveland Road and Portage Avenue in <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />PART 1 — BASIC SERVICES <br />A1.01 Topographic Survey <br />A. Engineer shall: <br />Perform topographic survey of the understood project limits area following the performing <br />of 811 utility coordination so that existing buried utility locations can be timely and <br />accurately marked by the affected utilities and surveyed by the Engineer for including in <br />the topographic survey drawing. <br />2. Coordinate with the City of South Bend Traffic Signal Department so that existing buried <br />traffic signal facility locations can be timely and accurately marked by the City and <br />surveyed by the Engineer for including in the topographic survey drawing. <br />A 1.02 Design <br />A. Engineer shall: <br />1. Perform an engineering field check of the project limits area. <br />2. Prepare the design of a certified construction project bid package including a plan drawing <br />set and a specifications/contract document in City of South Bend Engineering format. <br />3. Prepare an itemized Engineer's cost estimate. <br />4. The design is to include the replacement of the existing in -pavement traffic signal detection <br />system with a 2-camera hemispherical "Gridsmart" traffic signal detection system and <br />replacement of existing signal detection equipment in the signal controller cabinet with the <br />necessary "Gridsmart" system equipment. <br />5. The design is to include replacement of existing traffic signal heads, pedestrian push button <br />assemblies, traffic signage, and traffic signal system cables with new traffic signal features <br />according to current City of South Bend Standards. <br />6.
