ORDINANCE NO. 7,&2 Z- �f <br />AN ORDINANCE SETTING THE ANNUAL SALARY FOR <br />THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL FOR THE <br />CALENDAR YEARS 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1988. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />The Council is required by Indiana law to set the annual <br />compensation of all elected City officers. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SOUTH BEND COMMON <br />COUNCIL, as follows: <br />SECTION I: Each member of the Common Council of the <br />City of South Bend shall be paid from the General Fund the follow- <br />ing annual salary for the following calendar years: <br />1985: <br />$10,900 <br />1986: <br />$11,400 <br />1987: <br />$11,900 <br />1988: <br />$12,400 <br />SECTION II: The City Clerk shall publish this ordinance <br />twice in two 2 English language newspapers of general circula- <br />tion published in this City, the first of which publications shall <br />be at least thirty (30) days prior to the date of the final <br />passage by the Common Council. <br />SECTION III: This ordinance shall be in full force and <br />effect from and after its adoption by the Common Council and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />FILED IN CLE N' OFFICE <br />,:'t! °� 1 ; x984 <br />N <br />Irene Gammon <br />CITY CLERK, SOUTH BEND, IND. <br />1st READING I - a3- "?q <br />PUBLIC HEARING,9 °.? 7 -, <br />2nd READING <br />NOT APPROVED U <br />REFERRED <br />PASSED - 7 -�`� <br />
