No ZTSD 460 <br />Identification No: AL- 84 -01, T7 -P20 <br />Grant Period: 01 -01 -84 thru 09 -30 -84 <br />Agency: South Bend Police Department <br />Purpose: Purchase Breath Testing Equipment <br />The above grant has been applied for to purchase the below listed <br />equipment. <br />1 BAC Verifier infro -red breath tester <br />6 PBT probable breath testers <br />219/284 -9311 <br />The BAC Verifier is a new concept in breath testing equipment and <br />make the old style breathalizer out dated. Our breathalizers are in very <br />poor condition and would need replacing soon. This machine will be placed <br />at the County Jail and all our actual tests will be ran at that location. <br />The 6 PBT's portable breath testers will be placed in the six accident <br />cars. These units are used as a field test for suspected drunk drivers. <br />These units should eliminate the problem of taking a person into the County <br />Jail for a test when they are below the limit for arrest. <br />Thank you for you continuing support. <br />Sincerely, <br />Va�*�D .
