5. Pipeline 2000 hours <br />CCLs perform the following activities in association with the construction and <br />maintenance of gas, oil, and other material pipelines. Pipeline construction may consist <br />of, but not be limited to, the following activities: <br />a. Hoisting and rigging <br />b. Trenching and excavating <br />c. Site preparation/cleanup and security <br />d. Identify, inspect, use and maintain all tools specific to the concentration <br />i. hand <br />ii. electric <br />iii. gas <br />iv. pneumatic <br />e. Grade setting/checking <br />f. Layout and staking <br />g. Clearing and maintaining the right of way (ROW) <br />h. Pump water <br />i. Locate utilities <br />j. Build and dismantle fences <br />k. Load and unload pipe <br />1. Fill and place sandbags <br />m. Load, unload and place skids <br />n. Install erosion control systems <br />o. Pipe surface preparation/sand blasting <br />p. Apply pipe coating <br />q. Inspect pipe coating visually and with a holiday detector <br />r. Patch coating <br />s. Install pipe coating protection <br />t. Install corrosion protection <br />u. "Pig" the pipe <br />v. ROW remediation <br />6. Tunneling 2000 hours <br />CCLs perform the following activities in association with all work underground or in <br />compression chambers, including tending of the outer air lock. Tunnel construction <br />may consist of, but not be limited to, the following activities: <br />a. Drilling <br />b. Identify, inspect, use and maintain all tools specific to the concentration <br />i. hand <br />ii. electric <br />iii. gas <br />iv. pneumatic <br />c. Hoisting and rigging <br />d. Concrete pump operation and maintenance <br />e. Install services (track laying, conveyors, vents, water, compressed air <br />pipes etc.) <br />f. Install tunnel supports (steel ribs, mesh, rock bolts) <br />g. Shaft and tunnel grouting <br />h. Shotcrete/gunite application <br />i. Cutting and burning <br />7.
