AMERESCO4 Green - Clean - Sustainable ECM 5: RTU Upgrades Savings Unit kWh Guaranteed 10,227 Verified 10,277 kW 41 41 Therm 1,133 1,133 Dollars $1,810 $1,810 Overview of ECM This measure included replacing a single zone constant volume roof top unit (RTU) that serves the backstage area of the main theater at the Arvada Center. The existing unit was at the end of its useful life. The new unit is natural gas fired with DX cooling, and it was installed with a transition curb, hail guards, and 100% outside air economizer. Commissioning After the installation of the ECM, commissioning activities were performed in accordance with Schedule Q of the EPC. In order to verify proper installation during construction, Ameresco completed a submittal review, installation checkout, operational verification, and a point-to-point check. The commissioning process for this ECM included performance testing of the DX coil operation, heating coil operation, outside air economizer operation, and safety and freeze stat operation. Also verified were schedules, setpoints, sequences, lockouts, alarms, interlocks, and control strategies. A full pre functional test was completed on January 27tn, 2021 that verified all nameplate data, proper installation, and proper operation. Installation of the new RTU was inspected and found to be acceptable by Ameresco. Correct phase rotation of the supply fan was verified. Integration of the BACnet enabled RTU to the BAS was verified as well. The unit was confirmed to have proper thermostat control, as well as properly functioning fan, furnace, and compressors. Measurement & Verification The M&V Plan for this ECM was based on Agreed Upon Savings. The savings for this measure are achieved upon project acceptance.
