Ameresco’s local presence and experience provides us an intimate knowledge of the local vendor <br />community, permitting requirements, and local rebates, grants, and incentives. Ameresco’s robust Indiana staff <br />can be supplemented with specialists from Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Illinois. We have thirteen employees who <br />reside in Indiana, with an additional fifteen that live within two hours of South Bend. Ameresco project and <br />construction managers are seasoned veterans in the industry. Many are degreed engineers, with many holding <br />contractor licenses, CEM certifications, NABCEP certifications, and OSHA certifications. <br />Ameresco’s revenue for 2023 was $1.37 billion, and approximately seventy percent (70%) of our business is <br />conducted on a performance contracting basis. Our local presence in Indiana covers the entire state, and most of <br />the $150 Million in projects, have been completed under an energy savings performance contract. <br /> <br /> <br />Project Management Approach | High Quality Implementation <br />Ameresco’s goal is to provide quality projects for our customers while minimizing the effort required by the <br />building owners and occupants. We achieve this goal through ownership of the entire process from auditing to <br />development to construction to commissioning and savings verification. Any concerns, needs, or issues will be <br />resolved directly with Ameresco. Regular meetings with customer staff are scheduled as part of our process to <br />ensure progress and expectations are met and all needs are identified, discussed, and incorporated into the <br />project plan. Clear, concise communications will enable us to address projects of any size or scale. <br />Ameresco’s project management approach is to: <br />• Co-develop the schedule with the City. This generates a clear timeline for the scope of work that <br />meets all your needs and goals while taking into consideration each facility’s operation and use. <br />• Employ experienced, qualified engineers, designers, and project managers and provide continuing <br />training to enhance their capabilities. The South Bend management, engineering, and construction team <br />are experienced in all areas required in the RFQ. <br />• Assign the Ameresco lead project manager as the single point of contact during construction. <br />• Right-size the effort, allowing the lead project manager flexibility during execution using Ameresco’s <br />extensive capabilities as needed. <br />Engineering Design and Construction Integration <br />Our design will include incorporating all applicable industry standards as well as facility-specific standards, local, <br />state, interstate codes and regulations. Additionally, our in-house construction management team collaborates <br />with the design team in the early phases of the design process to review budgeted costs and provide insight into <br />procurement options that will keep the project within budget and assure project constructability. A quality project <br />begins with proper design. To assure quality during the design phase, Ameresco’s design team will: <br />1) Develop a complete design package that fully satisfies the Statement of Work, meets all code <br />requirements and regulations, and integrates all trades. <br />2) Provide applicable information for environmental permitting and documentation. <br />3) Review performance specifications for major components to ensure that we meet project requirements. <br />Construction Coordination <br />Ameresco has extensive experience coordinating with building management and maintenance personnel and <br />working in occupied buildings. We tailor our implementation approach to each customer to ensure that their needs <br />and the needs of the facility occupants can be met.
