CURRENT PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS <br />Design-Build improvements on CTA’s Red Line on the north side of Chicago. This project <br />is the largest capital improvement in CTA’s history. Work includes train control systems <br />(signals, communications, and traction control) improvements from Belmont to Howard, <br />construction of a new “fly-over” structure to carry the Brown Line over the Red and <br />Purple lines just north of Belmont Avenue, as well as 0.3 miles of staged mainline track <br />structure replacement beneath the new fly-over bridge, and reconstruction of 1.3 miles <br />of new elevated track structure between Lawrence and Ardmore, as well as the complete <br />reconstruction of the Lawrence, Argyle, Berwyn and Bryn Mawr Stations. <br />Total Project Cost $1,360,000,000 <br />Size N/A <br />Timeline February 2019 - August 2024 <br />RED PURPLE MODERNIZATION - CHICAGO, IL <br />I-69 Section 6 Contract 5 is the pivotal, last connecting piece of the I-69 Evansville to <br />Indianapolis program. Walsh is leading the design-build team to design and construct this <br />best-value project in Marion and Johnson Counties, Indiana. The project will improve the <br />safety and operations of the corridor and includes 40 new or replacement bridges, seven <br />rehabilitation or preventative maintenance bridges, and replacement of approximately <br />168 lane miles of pavement. <br />Total Project Cost $723,000,000 <br />Size 15 miles <br />Timeline November 2020 - April 2025 <br />I-69 SECTION 6 - INDIANAPOLIS, IN <br />The Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project is designed to improve approximately eight <br />miles of Interstates 71 and 75 through Kentucky and Ohio, including the addition of <br />a new companion bridge to the west of the existing Brent Spence Bridge to reduce <br />congestion, improve traffic flow and safety, and maintain key regional and national <br />transportation corridors. <br />Total Project Cost $3,600,000,000 <br />Size 8 miles <br />Timeline August 2023 - June 2025 <br />BRENT SPENCE BRIDGE CORRIDOR - COVINGTON, KY
