SECTION 9 – FIXTURES AND FINISHES <br />104 <br />9-5 NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER <br />9-5.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION <br />Neighborhood Centers contain storefront retail, professional offices, and dwelling units located either <br />in townhouse developments or in the upper stories or rear of mixed-use buildings. Such areas are <br />designed to encourage a pedestrian oriented design throughout the District. They are also designed to <br />maintain an appropriate pedestrian scale, massing, and relationship between buildings and structures <br />within the District. <br />9-5.2 STREET FEATURE TYPES <br />•Lighting: Type 1 (A through F), Type 2 (A through D), Type 3 (A) <br />•Bicycle Racks: Type 1 (A or B) <br />•Pavers: Type 1 (A or B) <br />•Trash Receptacles: Type 1 (A or B), Type 2 (A or B) <br />•Tree Grates: Type 1 (A) <br />•Planters: Type 1 (A or B) <br />•Seating: Type 2 (A or B) <br />See Section 2-Streets, Walkways & Paths Tables 2-2.2(1) and 2-2.3(1) for additional information <br />regarding minimum right-of-way, number of lanes, and lane width. <br />9-5.3 PRIORITIES <br />Required priorities are items that must be incorporated into the project.
