New Business <br />a. continued... <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that Resolution No. 39 relates to <br />eight different contracts that either the Redevelopment <br />Commission or the Board of Public Works as the agent for <br />the Redevelopment Commission entered into for public <br />improvements in the Airport Economic Development Area. <br />The contracts were originally being funded from the <br />$950,000 tax increment revenue bond the Commission <br />issued. <br />The Commission intends to redeem the $950,000 tax <br />increment revenue bonds on May 1st. Prior to that time, <br />the Authority needs to reimburse the Commission from the <br />proceeds of the Authority's tax-exempt and taxable <br />lease/purchase bonds. To that end, the Commission and <br />the Board of Works have assigned these contracts to the <br />Authority and the Authority must accept those <br />assignments. <br />The relevant contracts are with: 1) Cole Associates for. <br />preparation of a Master Plan; 2) Cole Associates for <br />• design of internal circulation roads; 3) Clyde Williams <br />Associates for the extension of Viridian Drive.; 4) Cole <br />Associates for a traffic impact analysis; 5) Cole <br />Associates for relocated Old Cleveland Road from U.S. 31 <br />to Mayflower; 6,) Cole Associates for Mayflower from.. <br />relocated Old Cleveland; 7) Cole .Associates for the <br />Northwest Loop; and 8) Ken Herceg and Associates for the <br />relocated Old Cleveland Road from Mayflower to the <br />current Old Cleveland Road. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Fewell, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski <br />and unanimously carried, the Authority approved <br />Resolution No. 39 accepting the assignment of interests <br />in certain contracts from the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission and South Bend Board of Public Works relating <br />to the Airport Economic Development Area Public <br />Improvement Project. <br />b. Authority approval requested for Resolution No. 40 <br />approving the execution of a Second Addendum to the Lease <br />for the South Bend Central Development Area Public <br />Improvement Project. , <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that the Authority previously- <br />" issued a bond for certain public improvements in the <br />• downtown and East Bank area and for property acquisition <br />-2- <br />
