SR 23/SR 933 NB/Eddy St. over SR 933 NB/Lincolnway Ave (Str. No. 023-71-04992 <br />B) <br />1) Bridge deck rehabilitation to support the proposed roadway typical section. The <br />overall width of the bridge deck will not be widened. <br />2) Review of bridge substructures and foundations to geometrically accommodate the <br />proposed roadway typical section of the roads under the bridges. <br />d. SR 23 Ramp over South Bank of St. Joseph River (Str. No. 023-71-04993 CNWE) <br />1) Removal of the bridge. <br />e. Sample St. over St. Joseph River (Str. No. 71-00208) <br />1) Rehabilitation of the sidewalk supports to widen the sidewalk. The existing bridge <br />railings and roadway on the bridge will not be changed by the project. <br />f. NS & GTW Railroad over SR 23/SR 933/Sample St. (Str. No. (23)33-71-02534) <br />1) Review the structure to confirm no impacts by the proposed roadway typical <br />section under the bridge. Rehabilitation is not included in the scope of work. <br />The CONSULTANT will evaluate existing conditions of each bridge to identify impacts by <br />the proposed roadway work and provide a brief summary of the findings. This includes <br />rehabilitation recommendations and a preliminary opinion of probable construction cost, <br />which will be in accordance with the accepted standards for such work and in accordance <br />with the following documents in effect at the time the report is submitted: AASHTO LRFD <br />Bridge Design Specifications, 9th Edition and subsequent interims and the INDOT Design <br />Manual. <br />4. The CONSULTANT shall conduct a field inspection of the bridges and prepare a bridge <br />inspection report including rehabilitation recommendations and a preliminary opinion of <br />probable construction cost, which will be in accordance with the accepted standards for <br />such work and in accordance with the following documents in effect at the time the report <br />is submitted: AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, 9th Edition and subsequent <br />interims and the INDOT Design Manual. <br />a. The field inspection will include field measurements of the substructures of the bridges <br />not included in the topographic field survey. These measurements will be used to <br />coordinate that no impacts will occur by the proposed work under the bridges. <br />The CONSULTANT shall prepare Stage 1 plans and a preliminary opinion of probable <br />construction cost, which will be in accordance with the accepted standards for such work <br />and in accordance with the following documents in effect at the time the plans or reports <br />are submitted: AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, 9th Edition and subsequent <br />interims and the INDOT Design Manual. <br />a. Stage 1 plans will be developed for vehicular bridges only.
