She stated the bids are for very specialized equipment and therefore difficult to read <br />and understand. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, <br />the above Quotations were referred to Purchasing and FCubed for review and recommendation. <br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACTS — 2013 STREET AND SEWER MATERIALS <br />Mr. John Engstrom, Engineering, advised the Board that on March 12, 2013, bids were received <br />and opened for the above referenced materials. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Engstrom <br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidders <br />as follows: <br />1. Company: Walsh & Kelly, Inc. <br />a) Amount: Unit Price Amounts for Items I through 21, 25, 25A, 37, and <br />37A <br />2. Company: Bit Mat Products <br />a) Amount: Unit Price Amounts for Items 30 through 34A <br />3. Company: Kuert Concrete, Inc. <br />a) Amount: Unit Price Amounts for Items 26 through 29 <br />4. Company: Rieth -Riley Construction, Inc. <br />a) Amount: Unit Price Amounts for Items 22,24A, 35, 35A, 38 and 38A <br />5. No Bids were submitted for Items 29A, 36, and 36A <br />Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded <br />and the contracts approved as outlined above. Mr. Mecham seconded the motion, which carried. <br />
