rr, <br /> .Y4 k fr <br /> tâ˘..t.â,â,,, <br /> -,â,,,......4.,. <br /> .:. <br /> OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK <br /> BIANCA L.TIRADO, CITY CLERK <br /> Bill no. 24-02- Confirming Resolution- Mixed-Use Development Real Property Tax <br /> Abatement Petition for the Nexus Center, LLC <br /> Erik Glavich, Director of Growth and Opportunity, 14th floor of the City-County Building gave <br /> a presentation concerning Bill No. 24-02. Confirming Resolution for Tax Abatement for the <br /> Nexus Center. The Nexus Center is developing a mixed-use development at the corner of <br /> Sherwood and S. Main Street. The final stage of the development will develop the finally bigger <br /> community space and the exterior of the building. Total private investment of$2.4 million. <br /> Once the projected is completed the Nexus Center will hire ten(10) new full-time staff with an <br /> average wage of twenty dollars ($20) an hour. The abatement will only affect the final stage of <br /> the abatement. <br /> Chair Warner thanked Mr. Glavich for the narrative concerning Resolution No. 24-02 and <br /> proceeded to open the floor to the Committee for questions. <br /> No Committee member had questions. <br /> Chair Warner opened the floor to members of the public for questions and comments. <br /> No members of the public had questions. Chair Warner opened the floor back to the Petitioners. <br /> Pastor David Buggs, The Nexus Center, 3607 South Main Street, South Bend IN 46614. <br /> Congratulated new members of the committee and expressed excitement to embark on a <br /> wonderful project that will enhance the lives of disadvantaged South Bend residents. <br /> Chair Warner opened the floor to members of the Committee for comments. <br /> No Committee member had a comment. <br /> Chair Warner entertained a motion send Resolution No. 24-02 to full Council. <br /> Vice-Chair Tomas Morgan motioned to send Bill No. 24-02 to full Council with a favorable <br /> recommendation.
