c"
I have sold my home in South Bend and am in the process of establishing
permanent residence in Granger.
• Very truly yours,
Thomas J. Varga, Jr.
Mrs. Kolata noted that by statute, Redevelopment Authority members must
reside in the City of South Bend.
Upon a motion by Mr. Davey, seconded by Mr. Wroblewski and unanimously
carried, the Authority accepted the resignation of Tom Varga.
Mr. Nussbaum noted the Authority's appreciation for Mr. Varga's efforts on
behalf of the City during his year and a half tenure as President of the
Authority. The Authority has been responsible for two important financing
projects for the City, the St. Joseph/Wayne Street Parking Facility and the
Coveleski Regional Stadium. Mr. Varga took an active Interest in the
Authority's decisions and will be sorely missed..
Mr, Davey asked Mr. Nussbaum to draft a letter-of appreciation from 'the
Authority to Mr. Varga.
b.
