PARENT, Mayor <br />COUNTY -CITY BUILDING <br />South Bend Common Council <br />County -City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Dear Council Members: <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46601 <br />June 12, 1985 <br />2191284.9255 <br />The Fire Department requests an appropriation from the Capital <br />Improvement Fund in the amount of $88,635.80 for one urgent <br />project and the annual lease payment for one 1984 fire apparatus. <br />The urgent project is the replacement of the <br />#3 at 1805 McKinley Ave. This roof has been <br />times but continues to develop leaks. These <br />to cause permanent damage to the roof deck. <br />is to install a new roof. This must be done <br />and while weather permits. The cost of this <br />$25,000.00. <br />roof at Fire Station <br />repaired several <br />leaks now threaten <br />The only solution <br />as soon as possible <br />project will be <br />The lease payment for Quint 3 (Ladder 5) will be due Sept. 15, <br />1985. This is the first payment of $63,635.80 in annual payments <br />for this apparatus. You will recall this source of funding was <br />agreed upon at the time this apparatus was purchased. <br />As of June 1985, the Fire Department Capital Improvement Fund <br />had a balance of $152,546.46.
