ORDINANCE NO. ).$'U -gy- <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $231, 112.00 FROM THE <br /> MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM IMPROVEMENT FUND TO <br /> FACILITATE EXPANSION AND UPGRADING OF SERVICES <br /> AT THE MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> The Morris Civic Auditorium is owned by the City of South <br /> Bend and is managed under the control of the Century Center Board <br /> of Managers . <br /> The Century Center Board of Managers has determined that <br /> it would be expedient and in the public interest to undertake <br /> expansion of the Morris Civic Auditorium into a portion of the <br /> Palais Royale building, which has been leased by the Board of <br /> Public Works for that purpose . Money is available in the Morris <br /> Civic Auditorium Improvement Fund. Money is required for a grant <br /> to Southold Heritage Foundation, Inc. , to facilitate financing for <br /> construction in the Morris leased space in the Palais Royale <br /> building. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS : <br /> SECTION I. The amount of $231,112. 00 is hereby <br /> appropriated and ordered set apart out of the Morris Civic <br /> Auditorium Improvement Fund for a contract and grant to Southold <br /> Heritage Foundation, Inc . , for construction financing for <br /> remodeling portions of the Palais Royale to upgrade services at the <br /> Morris Civic Auditorium. All funds repaid to the City by Southold <br /> Heritage shall be placed in the Morris Civic Auditorium Improvement <br /> Fund and shall be used only for purposes permitted therefor. <br /> SECTION II.
