New flashing beacons <br />were installed for both Muessel Primary and Holy Cross School as part of the Contract mentioned above. DLZ assisted the <br />City on the beacon project on an as-needed basis. The Safe Routes to School project at Muessel Primary/Holy Cross School <br />is the next step in protecting students and pedestrians in the neighborhood. As City leaders apply this comprehensive plan <br />that promotes safe access to schools, we all must offer something to make these collective efforts successful. DLZ offers <br />our expertise in construction inspection as a key role in this project. It would be an honor to continue playing a part in the <br />ongoing improvements to our city. <br />Steve Menis will lead our construction inspection team. Steve’s talented communication skills and organized manner will be <br />beneficial in tackling a project that involves construction at numerous intersections and 2 adjacent schools. The construction <br />will also impact countless property owners. Steve takes pride in being the primary contact on projects and works to answer <br />questions and resolve issues before they become problems. <br />DLZ has been working with the City since 1916. With nearly 100 employees working in our South Bend Office, our local <br />presence has produced many infrastructure projects that have changed the landscape, provided economic development and <br />improved the quality of life of the City residents. Our team is local and has the ability to respond to any need 24 hours a day, <br />365 days a year.
