An increase in the Police Department ' s Motor Equipment <br /> account 427. 0. This reflects necessary expenditures for the <br /> replacement of Detective Bureau vehicles . <br /> 7. Increases in the Bureau of Vehicle Maintenance for a total <br /> of $82 , 709 . These increases resulted from an increased demand for <br /> vehicle maintenance. <br /> 8 . An increase in the Bureau of Building Maintenance, electric <br /> account, 351 . 0 for $10, 426 . This , again, is the result of an I & M <br /> rate increase. <br /> 9 . An increase in the Park Department electric account 351 . 0 <br /> for $40 , 000 , again due to a utility rate increase. <br /> 10 . An increase in the Liability Insurance Premium and <br /> Reserve Fund, account 399 .0 for Other Contractuals . This is the result <br /> of necessary expenditures for Professional Consultants . <br /> 11. Increases in Water Works General Operating fund for materials <br /> and supplies for $84, 725. These increases resulted from unanticipated <br /> water main repairs . Also an increase of $79 , 284 in the Water <br /> Works Depreciation Fund. These expenditures were for renovation to <br /> the North Street and Olive Street pumping stations . <br /> 12 . An increase in the Bureau of Sanitation budget, account 255 . 0, <br /> Other Materials , was for concrete used in sewer failures and street <br /> repairs . <br /> 13 . Century Center experienced an increase in their electricity, <br /> account 4350. 0 in the amount of $63 , 000 because of the I & M rate <br /> increase and because of increased consumption. <br /> The aforementioned increases plus the others listed in the <br /> ordinance are being offset by decreases in accounts throughout <br /> the City of South Bend. All increases within any particular fund <br /> are being offset by decreases within the same fund. <br />
