All rights reserved. <br />This is EXHIBIT A, consisting of 6 pages, referred to in <br />and part of the Agreement between Owner and Engineer <br />for Professional Services dated October , 2023. <br />Engineer’s Services <br />Article 1 of the Agreement is supplemented to include the following agreement of the parties. <br />Engineer shall provide Basic and Additional Services as set forth below. <br />PART 1 – BASIC SERVICES <br />Project Description <br />A. The project will consist of planning and design services for improvements to Byers Softball <br />Complex. Refer to Attachment “A1” for the project limits. Exhibits developed will be utilized by <br />the City in pursuit of grant funding. A site assessment will be conducted to review existing <br />conditions and identify opportunities for improvements. An overall master plan will be developed <br />including drainage and ballfield improvements, parking and circulation improvements, playground <br />replacement, potential splash pad, new shade structures, and limited building renovation (extents to <br />be identified during the site assessment). The adjacent Matthys Little League facility will be <br />included in the master plan but will not be included in schematic design concepts. Cost estimates <br />will be prepared for both the overall master plan and schematic design concepts. Concepts will be <br />based on publicly available data including aerials, LIDAR, GIS, or other data provided by the City. <br />No geotechnical investigations or survey shall occur at this time. This Agreement is based on a <br />$3M total project cost for the resulting schematic design concept. <br />A1.01 Project Management <br />A. The Engineer shall manage the activities described in Exhibit “A” (Engineer’s Services) among the <br />project team members. The Engineer’s Project Manager (PM) will be in charge of overall project <br />management in addition to serving as the Owner’s direct link to the design team for issues <br />concerning administration and technical execution. The PM will be responsible for coordinating <br />the activities of any Subconsultants, if utilized, and acting as liaison between professional and any <br />outside agencies and/or groups. The PM will also be responsible for maintaining schedule and <br />budget. <br />B. The Engineer shall coordinate and attend meetings with the Owner as needed to facilitate the <br />management of the project design elements. Meetings will be held to discuss technical issues <br />requiring action by the Owner. <br />C. The Engineer shall implement quality management and control procedures, to satisfy the project <br />requirements. The Engineer shall coordinate these procedures with any subconsultants, if utilized, <br />at each plan submittal stage for continuity of design standards and plans throughout the project. <br />D. The Engineer shall input and update Owner’s project management software system, Projectmates, <br />with information requests, tracking milestones, document sharing, and meeting minutes, if <br />requested by Owner.
