• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 79-SS <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $565, 000 <br /> FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br /> POLICE DEPARTMENT VEHICLES AND STREET <br /> DEPARTMENT MATERIALS. <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> WHEREAS, the City of South Bend has determined that a <br /> reallocation of funds within the General Fund is necessary to <br /> complete the process started with the Executive Order issued in <br /> January of 1985. <br /> WHEREAS, reductions were made in several City departments, <br /> reducing fixed operating expenses, to facilitate the budgetary <br /> increases in the Police Department Motor Equipment Account and the <br /> Bureau of Streets, Other Materials Account. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the <br /> City of South Bend, Indiana as follows: <br /> SECTION I. The sum of $565, 000 is hereby appropriated <br /> for the year 1985 from the General Fund of the City of South Bend as <br /> described below: <br /> Police Department <br /> 427 . 0 Motor Equipment $350, 000. 00 <br /> Bureau of Streets <br /> 255 . 0 Other Materials $215, 000. 00 <br /> SECTION II .
