Ms. Hill concluded the presentation and <br /> offered to answer questions. <br /> Council member Hamann asked a question for clarification which Ms. Hill addressed. <br /> There were no public comments in favor or objection of Bill No. 56-23. Committee Vice <br /> Chair Warner motioned to send Bill No. 56-23 forward with a favorable recommendation, <br /> Council member Tomas Morgan seconded this motion. The votes are as follows. <br /> Troy Warner Aye Sheila Niezgodski Aye <br /> Canneth Lee Aye Rachel Tomas Morgan Aye <br /> With the passage of this Bill No. 56-23, the meeting moved forward to the next Bill, No. 57- <br /> 23. Kyle Willis, City Controller, with offices on the 12th floor of the County City Building <br /> began with the city's budget presentation. The city's top goals are resurfacing and repairing <br /> roads, improvements to neighborhood infrastructure, creating safe and nonviolent <br /> communities, housing availability, and continued investment in the city's parks, and trails. <br /> Mr. Willis summarized the 2024 General Plus Fund deficit at $12,663,703. Mr. Willis <br /> concluded his slides with only one question from the committee. <br /> Committee Chair Niezgodski asked a clarification question, to which Willis addressed. There <br /> is no one to speak in favor or opposition during the public hearing portion. <br /> Committee member Tomas Morgan made a motion to send the bill to the Committee of the <br /> Whole with a favorable recommendation which was seconded by Committee Vice Chair <br /> Warner. The motion passed with a vote of(4) ayes. The votes are as follows. <br /> Troy Warner Aye Sheila Niezgodski Aye <br /> Canneth Lee Aye Rachel Tomas Morgan Aye <br /> Following the passage of the bill, the meeting moved forward to Bill No. 58-23. Kyle Willis, <br /> City Controller, with offices on the 12th floor of the County City Building was also the <br /> presenter of this budget. Mr. Willis indicated $200,000 has been transferred to community <br /> initiatives from park maintenance in the 2023 budget. He also stated there has been a$150,000 <br /> budget transfer to the parking garages for new management. This is all Mr. Willis had to share <br /> on Bill No. 58-23. There were no questions from the Council nor the public to speak in favor <br /> of or opposition to Bill 58-23. <br /> Committee Vice Chair Warner made a motion to send Bill No. 58-23 to the Committee of the <br /> Whole with a favorable recommendation which was seconded by Committee member Henry <br /> Davis. The motion passed with a vote of(4) ayes.
