Bill No. 60-23 — A Salary Ordinance <br /> Amendment <br /> Members marked with an asterisk(*) are in virtual attendance. <br /> The full recording of the committee meetings can be found at the following link: <br /> https://does.southbendin.mov/W ebLink/O/fol/360589/Rowl.aspx <br /> Committee Chair Sheila Niezgodski called to order the Personnel & Finance Committee <br /> meeting at 4:15 p.m.; City Clerk Dawn Jones called the roll. <br /> Chair Niezgodski stated this presentation is only for public hearing this evening, it will then <br /> be voted during the third reading on October the 9th, 2023. Amy Hill, General Manager & <br /> CEO for TRANSPO 1401 S Lafayette Blvd. began speaking on the floor. Ms. Hill began with <br /> an overview and explained that there have been a few added employees since the last update, <br /> bringing their employee total to about 110. There are 50 fixed route buses, and as of May <br /> 2023 TRANSPO is 100% compressed natural gas. Further information was discussed, <br /> including a $13M budget estimate for 2024. This is an increase of 2% more than the 2023 <br /> budget estimate. There was discussion of further accomplishments made in the year 2023. Ms. <br /> Hill indicated there has been a significant increase in starting wages and making it less <br /> difficult for employees to reach their top wages.
