ORDINANCE NO. 7s770.tT' <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 7357-85 TO PROVIDE <br /> SALARY ADJUSTMENTS AND SALARIES FOR NEW POSITIONS WITHIN <br /> THE HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1986. <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> Due to funds being provided by the United States Employment <br /> Opportunity Commission and Housing Urban Developemnt for this pur- <br /> pose, funds are now available for a salary adjustment for the <br /> position of Director of the South Bend Human Rights Commission and <br /> to fund three ( 3 ) new classifications within the Commission staff. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SOUTH BEND COMMON COUNCIL, <br /> as follows: <br /> SECTION I . For the calendar year 1986 , Ordinance No. 7357-84 <br /> shall be amended as set forth to reflect maximum salaries for 1986 : <br /> SALARY/WAGES <br /> 1985 1986 1986 Amended <br /> Human Rights Director 24,567 25 ,058 26, 311 <br /> * Field Worker III -0- -0- 20 ,260 <br /> * Investigative Assistant I -0- -0- 17 ,149 <br /> * Housing Specialist I -0- -0- 18 , 285 <br /> * New Classifications <br /> All other salaries shall remain as adopted in Ordinance 7357-84 <br /> or as amended heretofore. <br /> SECTION II . This oridinance shall be in full force and <br /> effect from and after its passage by the Council and approval by <br /> the Mayor. <br /> Membe of the Common Cou cil <br />
