<br />SITE LIGHTING <br />The purpose of the Site Lighting Guidelines is to <br />provide for a safe, functional, visually attractive and <br />coordinated site lighting system. The site lighting <br />requirements are as follows: <br />1. Lights shall not be placed to cause glare or <br />excessive light spillage on neighboring <br />sites. <br />2. Owners shall provide for the fighting of all <br />parking areas, driveways, sidewalks and <br />bikepaths on each site. <br />3. Exterior lighting fixtures are to be as <br />folbws: <br />a. PariCing lot fixtures: cut-off type, color <br />corrected high pressure sodium, <br />rectilinear or "shoebox" style, <br />aluminum extrusion luminaries, no <br />more than twenty-five (25) foot <br />mounting height. Single or double <br />luminaries configuration on a square <br />pole. Luminaries and pole shall have <br />dark bronze anodized finish. <br />• <br />b. Driveway. fixtures: same as parking <br />lot fixtures. Maximum mounting <br />fieight of twenty feet. <br />c. Pedestrian area and walk lights: at <br />applicant's option; to be approved by <br />the Committee <br />d. .Large above ground concrete bases <br />for lighting fixtures are prohibited. <br />Base design shall be approved by the <br />Committee. <br />e. It is recommended that such parking <br />area, driveway, and pedestrian area <br />fixtures be equipped with a photo- <br />sensitive device to automatically tum <br />on and off with daylight. <br />4. It is recommended that accent illumination <br />be provided at key locations such as <br />building entries, driveway entries, etc. <br />5. Lighting of building faces is permitted only <br />when such light does not cause excess <br />glare or when such light does not spill onto <br />adjacent sites, parking areas, or public <br />streets. <br />~ p Blackthron Corporate Center -Development Guidelines 4/193 <br />
