All rights reserved.

This is EXHIBIT A, consisting of pages, referred to
in and part of the Agreement between Owner and
Engineer for Professional Services dated , .
Engineer’s Services

Article 1 of the Agreement is supplemented to include the following agreement of the parties.

Engineer shall provide Basic and Additional Services as set forth below.

In general, the scope of services for this Project consists of Engineer assisting the OWNER with the
implementation of better pedestrian connectivity between Walker Field Park, Rum Village Park, and the
surrounding neighborhoods. Design services will consist of Survey and Schematic Design (30% plans) in
this initial phase. Construction documents (60%, 90%, and 100% plans), bidding, and construction
administration design services will be negotiated after the schematic design phase is completed.

The Project will include a road diet along W. Ewing Avenue between S. Walnut Street and Webster Street,
which will include new sidewalk and curbs, road resurfacing, curb extensions (or bumpouts) to protect a
parking lane on the north side of the street, raised intersections, a mid-block crossing, and special paving
treatments at crosswalks. An asphalt multi-use trail will extend along the south side of W. Ewing Avenue
from S. Gertrude Street to the Rum Village Park Road entrance along W. Ewing Avenue. Pedestrian
connections into Rum Village Park as well as Walker Field Park are also included in the scope.

The Project budget, including both design and construction, is understood to be $1.9M for the work
described above and will be paid for using local funds.

A detailed scope of services is outlined below:

Survey
Engineer will provide a Topographic and Utility Survey of the 6.4-acre limits defined along Ewing
Avenue. The topographic work will include a submittal to Indiana 811 for utility marking and for mapping
those marked facilities. Surface evidence of the utility structures together with available mapping will
provide a comprehensive view of the sub-surface condition. Storm and sanitary sewers will be located,
pipes sizes and inverts will be provided. In addition to the topographic work, local boundary evidence will
be sought to provide locations of street rights-of-way lying within the defined survey limits. These right-
of-way lines will be depicted, and a statement will be provided to discuss any uncertainty in their location.
No boundary or right-of-way monuments will be set with this work and the certification attached will be
specific to the vertical condition.
The topographic data will include all surface evidence of site improvements, such as: streets, signage,
curbs, public walks, trails, building facades, etc. The location of individual trees, species, calipers, etc.,
within the defined area, is beyond the scope of this work. However, if there are specific trees or areas
where tree locations are critical, they can be collected at the time of survey. Contour lines will be provided
at 1-foot intervals based upon a generated surface. The topographic data will be provided at 50-foot
intervals and along street curbing.

Schematic Design (30% Plans)
Engineer will prepare 30% schematic design plans for the scope areas defined in the attached exhibit. Due
to the Owner’s bid document references, plans will be prepared to INDOT standards. Accordingly, typical
