<br /> <br />1634 Franklin St <br />South Bend, IN 46619 <br />Phone 574.234.7912 <br />email: carl@dudeckroofing.com <br /> <br />Singly Ply – Modified - Slate – Tile – Copper – Shingles – Shakes - Repairs <br /> <br />August 16, 2023 <br /> <br />South Bend Waterworks <br />830 N Michigan St <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Attention: Eugene Pietsch <br /> <br />Reference: Erskine Well House Reroof <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Pietsch: <br /> <br />As you have requested, our proposal to install a new EPDM roof on the Carriage Hills Well House, <br />approximately 680 square feet (sf) of roof. <br />We propose to furnish all labor, tools, material and equipment necessary to perform work as described in <br />this proposal, for the Contract Price listed below. An outline of the products to be used and description of <br />the work that serves as a basis for the Contract Price below are as follows: <br /> <br />A. Products <br />1. Insulation adhesive: 2-part low-rise foam urethane adhesive <br />2. Insulation: 2 staggered layers of 2” thick Polyisocyanurate (ISO) insulation <br />3. Taper system: ISO tapered to ¼” per foot <br />4. Roof system singly-ply sheet: Johns-Manville EPDM NR 60 mil; .060” thick, non-reinforced, <br />cured EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) membrane <br />5. Roof system sheet attachment: <br />a. Field: Fully adhered with bonding adhesive <br />b. Metal edging: Bonded to 24 gage steel flashing nailed along length 4” o.c. <br />6. Sheet metal flashing: <br />a. Gutters and counter flashing: Shop fabricated in 12’ lengths from 24 gage, prefinished <br />steel. Color to be selected by DRSM as best possible match to existing systems if owner <br />does not choose specific color. <br />b. Sealants: Premium gun-grade polyurethane and butyl sealants. <br /> <br /> B. Preparation for New Roof System: <br />1. Remove existing roof down to concrete decking and dispose of off-site <br />2. Remove existing PVC drain line and existing drain hardware, cover hole with 24ga steel <br />matching surrounding soffit color, and fill void with expanding foam insulation <br />3. Install new wood nailer at roof edges to match elevation of new roof
