The position will be <br /> funded from within current budgets. The establishment of a <br /> civilian communications manager represents a continuation <br /> of our efforts to further professionalize the dispatch <br /> operation and put more police officers on the street to serve <br /> and protect the public. <br /> A local and national search has been conducted in order <br /> to attract the most highly qualified pool of applicants <br /> possible. Serious inquiries, for example, were received from <br /> the local community and as well communities throughout the <br /> country because of the challenges and benefits associated <br /> with the- very important public safety job of managing the <br /> Emergency Communications Center. <br /> Please contact me if you have any questions about this <br /> matter.
