ORDINANCE NO. b \, % - (o <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 7357-84 <br /> TO ESTABLISH THE SALARY FOR A CERTAIN POSI- <br /> TION WITHIN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR OF <br /> 1986 <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> Ordinance No . 7357-84 provided for maximum salaries and wages of <br /> appointed officers and employees of the City of South Bend, Indiana <br /> for the calendar years 1985 and 1986. A need has arisen to create <br /> within the Police Department the civilian position of Emergency <br /> Communications Center Manager. This Salary Ordinance is submitted to <br /> establish the maximum salary for that position for 1986. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SOUTH BEND COMMON COUNCIL <br /> AS FOLLOWS : <br /> SECTION I. For the calendar year 1986, Ordinance No. 7357-84 <br /> shall be amended as set forth below to reflect the maximum salary for <br /> 1986 for the position listed : <br /> 1986 <br /> POSITION SALARY/WAGES <br /> I. POLICE DEPARTMENT Minimum: $27,000 <br /> Emergency Communication Maximum: $34,500 <br /> Center Manager <br /> SECTION II .
