• <br /> • <br /> Bend in its' General Fund in 1988 or 1989, the annual maximum salaries for <br /> 1989 for the ranks listed in Subsection (a) herein shall be increased by two <br /> percent (2%) over the amounts listed for 1989. <br /> (c) In addition to the above, salaries shall be further adjusted in <br /> accordances with paragraphs (1) or (2) below, whichever is applicable. <br /> (1) In the event that the offer made by the City Negotiating <br /> Team is accepted by the Fraternal Order of Police; Lodge No. <br /> 36, such acceptances being by written notification signed by <br /> the officers of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge No. 36, <br /> delivered to the office of the City Clerk on or before <br /> August 7, 1986, an acceptance bonus shall be as follows: <br /> I. $700.00 acceptance bonus shall be paid to all <br /> officers and sworn members of the South Bend <br /> Police Department as identified in III below, <br /> with $450.00 to be paid to entitled <br /> members after the first full pay period <br /> after January 1, 1987, representing the first <br /> payment of said acceptance bonus; and $250.00 <br /> to be paid entitled members after the first <br /> full pay period after January 1, 1988, <br /> representing the final payment of said acceptance <br /> bonus. None of the amounts of the acceptance <br /> bonus shall be attributed to the annual salary <br /> base for pension purposes. <br /> II. An additional $200.00 one time payment shall be <br /> paid to all ranks listed in Sub-section (a) on <br /> the first full pay period after January 1, 1988 <br /> which shall be attributed to the annual salary <br /> base for pension purposes. <br /> III. The acceptance bonus and one time payment <br /> would be paid only to all officers <br /> and sworn members of the South Bend Police Dept. <br /> who are employed by the Department at the time of <br /> the effective date of this ordinance. <br /> (2) In the event that the offer made by the City Negotiating Team <br /> is not accepted by the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge No. 36, <br /> there shall be no acceptance bonus for either 1987 or 1988; <br /> however additional compensation shall be paid to all ranks <br /> listed in Sub-section (a) which shall be attributed to the <br /> annual salary base for pension purposes and shall be as follows: <br /> I. $300.00 in 1987 <br /> II. $300.00 in 1988 <br /> SECTION III. ADDITIONAL PAY <br /> (a) If a sworn member is subpoenaed to court or has to go to court or <br /> is required to appear at any given location to validate a complaint, warrant <br /> or recall, and if that sworn member is off-duty, the sworn member shall be <br /> paid at the rate of time and one-half (1/2) their regularly scheduled pay <br /> during a work day, in an amount not less than four (4) hours if they are on <br /> their regularly scheduled day off at the time of the required appearance. <br /> (b) Any sworn member required to work overtime shall be paid at the <br /> rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) time their normal rate of pay in an amount <br /> not less than one (1) hour for any overtime beyond their normal work day <br />
