• • Bend in its' General Fund in 1988 or 1989, the annual maximum salaries for 1989 for the ranks listed in Subsection (a) herein shall be increased by two percent (2%) over the amounts listed for 1989. (c) In addition to the above, salaries shall be further adjusted in accordances with paragraphs (1) or (2) below, whichever is applicable. (1) In the event that the offer made by the City Negotiating Team is accepted by the Fraternal Order of Police; Lodge No. 36, such acceptances being by written notification signed by the officers of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge No. 36, delivered to the office of the City Clerk on or before August 7, 1986, an acceptance bonus shall be as follows: I. $700.00 acceptance bonus shall be paid to all officers and sworn members of the South Bend Police Department as identified in III below, with $450.00 to be paid to entitled members after the first full pay period after January 1, 1987, representing the first payment of said acceptance bonus; and $250.00 to be paid entitled members after the first full pay period after January 1, 1988, representing the final payment of said acceptance bonus. None of the amounts of the acceptance bonus shall be attributed to the annual salary base for pension purposes. II. An additional $200.00 one time payment shall be paid to all ranks listed in Sub-section (a) on the first full pay period after January 1, 1988 which shall be attributed to the annual salary base for pension purposes. III. The acceptance bonus and one time payment would be paid only to all officers and sworn members of the South Bend Police Dept. who are employed by the Department at the time of the effective date of this ordinance. (2) In the event that the offer made by the City Negotiating Team is not accepted by the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge No. 36, there shall be no acceptance bonus for either 1987 or 1988; however additional compensation shall be paid to all ranks listed in Sub-section (a) which shall be attributed to the annual salary base for pension purposes and shall be as follows: I. $300.00 in 1987 II. $300.00 in 1988 SECTION III. ADDITIONAL PAY (a) If a sworn member is subpoenaed to court or has to go to court or is required to appear at any given location to validate a complaint, warrant or recall, and if that sworn member is off-duty, the sworn member shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1/2) their regularly scheduled pay during a work day, in an amount not less than four (4) hours if they are on their regularly scheduled day off at the time of the required appearance. (b) Any sworn member required to work overtime shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) time their normal rate of pay in an amount not less than one (1) hour for any overtime beyond their normal work day
