One-story cross gable section, conical roof entrance porch with heavy timbers and large turned <br />columns (currently in storage). Stone trim detail throughout, decorative stone arch above front windows, multi- <br />pane leaded glass casement windows with shield motif on front windows; decorative corbeled chimney; side over- <br />hang supported by wood brackets. Exterior cladding is brick, stucco, and half timbering in gables. Two-car de- <br />tached garage with gable roof similar to main structure. <br />ALTERATIONS: COA 1991-0808 allowed for roof replacement. RME 2017-0505 allowed for roof replacement. <br />AA 2022-1216 allowed for landscaping removal around perimeter of main structure for masonry assessment and <br />project preparation. <br />APPLICATION ITEMS: “Proposed work will cover the following distinct application items further outlined in <br />the documentation attached: 1) Roof Replacement; 2.) New Gutters & Downspouts; 3.) Chimney Reconstruction; <br />4.) Masonry Re-Pointing and Lintel Replacement; 5.) Foundation Waterproofing/Grading; 6.) Basement Window <br />Well; 7.) Window Restoration & Replacement, 8.) Porch Repair” <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT: The applicant has requested approval to: <br />Engage in a comprehensive project including repairs, reconfigurations, and replacements, including the following <br />(struck-through project components have been administratively approved): <br />Removal of asphalt shingle roof, installation of EcoStar synthetic slate with random blend, addition of copper <br />flashings and drip edges, copper metal pan in the valley behind the chimney, <br />Installation of new 5” copper gutters and downspouts, <br />Chimney reconstruction, including the replacement of existing brick sloped pieces with limestone corners, <br />Masonry repairs (generic), including replacing two cast concrete lintels with limestone piece, <br />Masonry repairs (foundation), including the removal of the existing rear wooden deck to facilitate excavations <br />and repairs, <br />Installation of a basement window well on the north (rear) elevation of the house, <br />Window replacement (comprehensive) on rear and side facades, with Aluminum-clad Wood Marvin Ultimate <br />Casement Narrow Frame windows with simulated divided lite with spacer bar. Character-defining leaded-glass <br />windows are proposed for removal, restoration, and reinstallation in new window.
