His background <br />includes five years of experience in the Occupational Safety and Health field prior <br />to joining Kokosing. Matt is involved in a variety of projects within all divisions, <br />including many large and complex industrial facilities. <br />MATT MCCARTHY <br />Safety Director <br />EXPERIENCE <br />Toledo Waterways Initiative, Downtown Storage Basin, Toledo, Ohio <br />Construction of a 17-million gallon storage basin and dewatering <br />pump station. Other scope items include seven buried regulators <br />constructed around existing combined sewers, 72” and 48” diameter <br />sewer installation, 720 LF of 110” pipe installed in a hand-mined <br />tunnel, road restoration and site work. Project included 225,000 CY of <br />excavation and 45,000 CY of concrete. Contract Amount: $43,900,000 <br />Toledo Waterways Initiative, Ottawa River Storage Facility, Toledo, <br />Ohio <br />Construction of a 175 MGD pump station and 36.3 million gallon storage basin. Other scope items included 9,000 LF of large diameter deep sewer installation, six interceptor structures, five of which were constructed under and around existing sewers, road rehabilitation and site work. Project included 450,000 CY of excavation and 50,000 CY of concrete. Contract Amount: $69,000,000 <br />Private Client, Combined Cycle Power Facility, Ohio <br />Construction of a new 900MW 2x1 combined cycle power plant on a <br />greenfield site. Full construction responsibility with over 2.7 million <br />manhours expended. Project substantially completed in 28 months. <br />Kokosing self-performed over 90% of the work and direct hired all <br />crafts with a peak workforce of over 1,200. <br />Power Private Client, Coke and Cogeneration Facility, Southwest <br />Ohio <br />New 100-oven metallurgical coke and 67MW cogeneration power facility on a greenfield site that supplies AK Steel with blast furnace coke and electrical power. Project substantially completed in 18 <br />months.
