Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the Commission approved the request for proposal for financial consulting services and accepted the proposal from Crowe Chizek for the scope of services and fee proposed. PROGRESS REPORTS Mr. Inks reported that the Common Council approved the amendment to the South Bend Central Development Area Development Plan adding the East Bank Master Plan to the Development Plan at its meeting on June 23. The next step is to set a public hearing for the next Commission meeting at 10:00 a.m., July 18, with a publication date of July 3, 2008. Mr. Inks pointed out that the list of services contracts included title searches for 57 properties, so that the total contract was for $5,700. These are properties on the eastern edge of the Studebaker Industrial Park. As we look at the MIND project, we wanted to get a better sense of ownership and property issues around that, so, while the Commission's authorization allowed the staff to spend $100 per title search, staff didn't know if the Commission meant that it could get 57 of them in one fell swoop. Staff just wanted to make sure the Commission realized what staff was doing with that.
