<br /> <br /> <br />INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br /> <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> DIVISION OF ENGINEERING <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Theresa Heffner, Administrative Assistant <br />Board of Public Works <br />FROM: Scott Kreeger, Project Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Project No. 123-018 <br />Locust Road Improvements from Assumption Drive to State Road 23 <br />DATE: June 7, 2023 <br />On May 23, 2023, the Board of Public Works opened and read the bid for the above project. <br /> <br />The bids were as follows: <br /> <br />Bidder Base Bid Amount <br />1. Rieth-Riley Construction Co., Inc. $2,834,497.01 <br /> <br /> <br />Upon further review of the Minority and Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Inclusion <br />Program Plan goals, Rieth-Riley’s contract document was below the required 6.02% for WBE <br />and 4.17% MBE goals. Rieth Riley supplied City staff with e-mail correspondence and public <br />solicitation confirmation for M/WBE subcontractors to perform portions of the work. With the <br />support of the IPC Board, it was determined good faith efforts for the project were met. <br /> <br />Engineering recommends award of the contract to Rieth Riley Construction Co., Inc. for the <br />project listed above in the amount of $2,834.497.01. Sufficient funding has been appropriated <br />from Local Road & Bridge, MVH-R, and River West TIF. <br /> <br /> <br />Please call with your questions (9245). <br /> <br />Enc.
