tontinittot . cp4rt <br /> Zoning alto t -mention f4tnmitte <br /> The January 8, 2001 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was called to order by its <br /> Vice-Chairperson Council Member Andrew Ujdak, at 4:03 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting <br /> Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Aranowski, Pfeifer, King, Varner, Ujdak, and <br /> Kirsits, Isabelle Gonzalez, Citizen Member; John Byorni, Greg Kil, Assistant Pastor Janice Hall, <br /> Pastor Charles Jamerson, Thomas Bodnar, John Oxian, Charlie Hays, Bernie Feeney, Terry <br /> Bland of the&tab tra) ZribtttC , and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney. <br /> Y <br /> Council Member Udjak noted that the first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 120-00 <br /> which is a zoning request for property located along the north and south sides of the 700 block of <br /> Pennsylvania Avenue. <br /> Mr. John Byorni, Assistant Director of Area Plan, noted that the proposal received a favorable <br /> recommendation from the Area Plan Commission. It contains seven (7) acres which would be <br /> developed as single family detached dwellings. 17 of the 33 lots are occupied. <br /> There was not presentor present. Council Member Ujdak noted that the Bill would go forward <br /> without recommendation. <br /> The Committee then reviewed Substitute Bill No. 121-00 which is a zoning request for the <br /> property located at 3553 Ardmore Trail. <br /> Mr. Byorni noted that the proposal received a favorable recommendation from the Area Plan <br /> Commission. The rezoning was necessary since it was zoned to a specific site plan. <br /> Greg Kil made the presentation. He noted that petitioner was the River of Life Family Church. <br /> The church is located on nine (9) acres. They are attempting to be "neighbor friendly" by the <br /> rezoing request. The sanctuary has a seating capacity of 1,200 with adjoining day care rooms and <br /> classrooms. Mr. Kil introduced Pastor Charles Jamerson and Assistant Pastor Janice Hall who <br /> asked the Committee for their support. Council Member Ujdak noted that since a quorum of the <br /> Committee was not present, that no formal action would be taken at the Committee level. <br /> The Committee then reviewed Substitute Bill No. 122-00 which is a rezoning request for the <br /> property located at 1733 South Bend Avenue. <br /> Mr. Byorni noted that the proposal received a favorable recommendation from the Area Plan <br /> Commission. <br /> Mr. Bernie Feeney made the presentation. He introduced Charlie Hays. The rezoning would <br /> permit the construction of a cell tower behind the restaurant. He noted that it would permit <br /> wireless company location facilities for multiple users. Mr. Hays stated there would be between <br /> four(4) to eight(8) users for each tower. <br /> Council Member King spoke in favor of the proposal. He noted that it would be in his Dis <br /> and that the proposed location is good. tact <br /> Council Member Ujdak noted that since there was not a quorum present, there no formal action <br />
