tontinittot . cp4rt Zoning alto t -mention f4tnmitte The January 8, 2001 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was called to order by its Vice-Chairperson Council Member Andrew Ujdak, at 4:03 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting Room. Persons in attendance included Council Members Aranowski, Pfeifer, King, Varner, Ujdak, and Kirsits, Isabelle Gonzalez, Citizen Member; John Byorni, Greg Kil, Assistant Pastor Janice Hall, Pastor Charles Jamerson, Thomas Bodnar, John Oxian, Charlie Hays, Bernie Feeney, Terry Bland of the&tab tra) ZribtttC , and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney. Y Council Member Udjak noted that the first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 120-00 which is a zoning request for property located along the north and south sides of the 700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. Mr. John Byorni, Assistant Director of Area Plan, noted that the proposal received a favorable recommendation from the Area Plan Commission. It contains seven (7) acres which would be developed as single family detached dwellings. 17 of the 33 lots are occupied. There was not presentor present. Council Member Ujdak noted that the Bill would go forward without recommendation. The Committee then reviewed Substitute Bill No. 121-00 which is a zoning request for the property located at 3553 Ardmore Trail. Mr. Byorni noted that the proposal received a favorable recommendation from the Area Plan Commission. The rezoning was necessary since it was zoned to a specific site plan. Greg Kil made the presentation. He noted that petitioner was the River of Life Family Church. The church is located on nine (9) acres. They are attempting to be "neighbor friendly" by the rezoing request. The sanctuary has a seating capacity of 1,200 with adjoining day care rooms and classrooms. Mr. Kil introduced Pastor Charles Jamerson and Assistant Pastor Janice Hall who asked the Committee for their support. Council Member Ujdak noted that since a quorum of the Committee was not present, that no formal action would be taken at the Committee level. The Committee then reviewed Substitute Bill No. 122-00 which is a rezoning request for the property located at 1733 South Bend Avenue. Mr. Byorni noted that the proposal received a favorable recommendation from the Area Plan Commission. Mr. Bernie Feeney made the presentation. He introduced Charlie Hays. The rezoning would permit the construction of a cell tower behind the restaurant. He noted that it would permit wireless company location facilities for multiple users. Mr. Hays stated there would be between four(4) to eight(8) users for each tower. Council Member King spoke in favor of the proposal. He noted that it would be in his Dis and that the proposed location is good. tact Council Member Ujdak noted that since there was not a quorum present, there no formal action
