Zoning and Annexation Committee March 12, 2001 Page 2 Mr. Byorni stated that the substitute bill was necessary to change the use classification from "C" commercial to PHC Professional Health Care, with the substitute bill being recommended favorably to Council. Mike Danch of Danch, Hamer & Associates, Inc. rovided a prelimin Committee (copy attached). Mr. Danch noted that he rezoning would al t allow w the 1petitioner, Memorial Health Systems, Inc. And the contingent purchaser, Environmental Health Laboratories develop the area as general officers, a fitness center for employees and provide support for the record retention to the corporate offices. Council Member King noted that this project will be taking place in the 4th District. He stated that he has met with the owners and believes that this development will further protect the integrity of the neighborhood. Following discussion, Council Member Coleman made a motion, seconded by Council Member Ujdak that Substitute Bill No. 4-01 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. Under unfinished business Council Member White noted that she and the Council Attorney will be meeting with the Portage Manor Board of Directors in the next few weeks with regard to their proposed landmark designation request. She asked that if any Council Members have specific concerns that they would like conveyed, to please contact her or the Council Attorney. She noted that she had an aerial photo of the area in question. Council Member Aranowski noted that next Monday at 7: 30 p.m. At the Holy Cross Grade School the proposed residential development in the former Drewey's property will be discussed. Council Member White noted for the record that all of the business of the Committee was conducted in a timely manner, so timely that there will be time in between this Committee meeting and the next Committee meeting.
