Zoning and Annexation Committee <br /> March 12, 2001 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Mr. Byorni stated that the substitute bill was necessary to change the use classification from "C" <br /> commercial to PHC Professional Health Care, with the substitute bill being recommended <br /> favorably to Council. <br /> Mike Danch of Danch, Hamer & Associates, Inc. rovided a prelimin <br /> Committee (copy attached). Mr. Danch noted that he rezoning would al t <br /> allow w the 1petitioner, <br /> Memorial Health Systems, Inc. And the contingent purchaser, Environmental Health Laboratories <br /> develop the area as general officers, a fitness center for employees and provide support for the <br /> record retention to the corporate offices. <br /> Council Member King noted that this project will be taking place in the 4th District. He stated that <br /> he has met with the owners and believes that this development will further protect the integrity of <br /> the neighborhood. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Coleman made a motion, seconded by Council Member <br /> Ujdak that Substitute Bill No. 4-01 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br /> Under unfinished business Council Member White noted that she and the Council Attorney will be <br /> meeting with the Portage Manor Board of Directors in the next few weeks with regard to their <br /> proposed landmark designation request. She asked that if any Council Members have specific <br /> concerns that they would like conveyed, to please contact her or the Council Attorney. She noted <br /> that she had an aerial photo of the area in question. <br /> Council Member Aranowski noted that next Monday at 7: 30 p.m. At the Holy Cross Grade <br /> School the proposed residential development in the former Drewey's property will be discussed. <br /> Council Member White noted for the record that all of the business of the Committee was <br /> conducted in a timely manner, so timely that there will be time in between this Committee meeting <br /> and the next Committee meeting. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Committee, Council Member White adjourned <br /> the meeting at 4:17 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Council Member Karen L.
