<br />Preventive Maintenance of Angela Boulevard Bridge <br />Over St. Joseph River January 2023 <br /> 3 <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. Before the beginning of any work that might disturb or destroy any <br />monumented Section Quarter Corners as shown on the Plans, the Contractor <br />shall notify the St. Joseph County Surveyor at (574) 235-9631. The <br />Contractor shall identify and mark existing property irons and exercise <br />caution to leave them undisturbed through construction. There shall be no <br />payment for this work. <br /> <br />IX. UTILITY COORDINATION <br /> <br />A. 2022 INDOT Standard Specification: 105 and 107 <br /> <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. Coordination with various utilities regarding their facilities may be necessary <br />and it will be the Contractor’s responsibility to initiate and maintain this <br />coordination. The Contractor will not be granted a time extension due to <br />utility conflicts if the Contractor fails to properly coordinate with Utilities. <br /> <br />2. The facilities of AT&T Distribution exist adjacent to the project limits. <br />AT&T has a buried 600 pair copper cable crossing Angela Boulevard east of <br />the bridge on the westside of North Shore Boulevard and are not expected to <br />be affected by the proposed construction. The facilities of NIPSCO Gas Distribution exist within the project limits. <br />NIPSCO has a 6’’ steel main attached to the northside of the bridge and three <br />inactive mains and are not expected to be affected by the proposed <br />construction. NIPSCO has a gas valve and box located in the northwest <br />sidewalk approach that the contractor can adjust to final grade. See <br />NIPSCO’s work plan for additional details. The facilities of South Bend Water exist within the project limits; South <br />Bend Water has a 12’’ water main attached to the southside of the bridge; <br />and are not expected be in conflict of the proposed construction. Prevailing Specification: None <br /> <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. Awarding agencies require that all Contractors and Sub-Contractors awarded <br />Public Works Contracts file a schedule of wages to be paid on the Project <br />before any work is performed. This usually takes the form of a Contractor or <br />Sub-Contractor submitting a list of labor classifications and rates of pay to <br />the awarding agency. <br />
