tow <br /> September 10, 2001 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Council Member White then called for a presentation on Bill No. 60-01 which is a rezoning request <br /> for the property located at 3915 Portage Road. <br /> Jeff Myers, a staff member of Area Plan, gave the Area Plan Report. He noted that it received a <br /> favorable recommendation at the Area Plan Commission meeting of August 21, 2001 (copy <br /> attached). <br /> Mike Danch made the presentation on behalf of the Petitioner, the Indiana Trust & Investment <br /> Management Company. He presented a preliminary site plan for the area (copy attached). He <br /> noted that 8.8 acres is involved and Teachers Credit Union would like to purchase the property <br /> which would have a mix use of its facilities,a restaurant and 50,000 square feet for retail. <br /> Council Member White inquired whether the Teacher Credit Union on Lincoln Way would be <br /> affected. <br /> Mr. Danch stated that he did not know but that this could be another branch. <br /> Following discussion, Dr. Varner made a motion, seconded by Council Member Coleman that Bill <br /> No. 60-01 be recommended favorably to Council.
