Voll, PE Senior Transportation Engineer CONTACT INFORMATION: (574) 232-4388 mvoll@jpr1source.com With over 12 years of roadway design experience, Michael has played a critical role in numerous INDOT and LPA projects throughout the state. He has managed or designed numerous pedestrian-related projects. This experience provides the knowledge to bring new ideas to the forefront while identifying and mitigating any challenges that arise. Michael understands the best way to manage risk is by being accessible during a project. This accessibility to the project team, as well as the City of South Bend, will ensure deadlines and budgets are met while documenting everything thoroughly. Finally, as a new member to the JPR family, Michael will be able to dedicate all of his time to the success of the project if selected. RELATED PROJECT EXPERIENCE Safe Routes to Schools for the City of Valparaiso, Indiana Project Engineer for design and construction documents for two Safe Route to Schools (SRTS) projects. This included approximately 4,015 feet of new sidewalks for Cook’s Corner Elementary school and 4,500 feet of new sidewalks for Memorial Elementary School. ADA Intersection Improvements for the City of Goshen, Indiana Project Engineer for the design of ADA improve- ments in accordance with PROWAG guidelines for 7 intersections. Improvements included new curb ramps, replacing sidewalk, and the addition or modification of pedestrian push button locations. US 40 HMA Overlay and Curb Ramps in Dublin and Cambridge City for INDOT, Greenfield District, Des. 1700814 Engineer for the design of 1.5-inch milling and 1.5-inch HMA resurface for the mainline, shoulders, and turning lanes for 3.23 miles of US 40. The project also included the redesign of 91 curb ramps at 34 intersections and five traffic signals to replace detection loops. SR 933 Multi-Use Path for South Bend, Indiana Project Engineer for a multi-use path along 0.75 miles of SR 933. The project included moving the curb line of SR 933 to provide room for an 8-foot multi-use path and new guardrail separation for pedestrian and motorist safety. Responsibilities included geometric, MOT, curb ramp, and drainage design for the length of the corridor. Fairfield Avenue Streetscape for Fort Wayne, Indiana Project Manager for a streetscape project along Fairfield Avenue, from Walnut Street to Locust Street. The project included the reconstruction of curb, sidewalk, curb ramps, and streetscape amenities to meet Fort Wayne and ADA standards. As part of the project, several drainage issues were also resolved. Michael was responsible for client relations, QC/QA of plans, estimate and specs, as well as maintaining the design budget.
