COMMITTEE REPORT: <br /> Personnel and Finance Committee <br /> TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND: <br /> The February 23, 1998 meeting of the Personnel and Finance <br /> Committee was called to order by its Chairman Council Member John <br /> Broden at 4 :30 p.m. in the Council informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Broden, Varner, <br /> Aranowski, Sniadecki. <br /> Council Member Coleman made the presentation, along with Mayor <br /> Luecke on the Resolution in support of the new Studebaker <br /> National Museum construction. Mr. Ron Radecki spoke in favor. <br /> Council Member Varner raised questions about fundraising. Mr. <br /> Radecki and Mayor Luecke spoke to potential fundraising. Council <br /> Member Coleman mentioned History Museum, Morris Civic and Century <br /> Center as similar models for government participation. Council <br /> Member Aranowski made a motion that this Resolution be sent to <br /> the full Council favorably. Council Member Broden seconded the <br /> motion which carried with a 2-1 vote. Council Member Varner <br /> noted "nay. " The meeting adjourned. <br />
