COMMITTEE REPORT: <br /> Public Works and Property Vacation Committee <br /> TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND: <br /> The February 23, 1998 meeting of the Public Works and Property <br /> Vacation Committee was called to order by its Chairman Council <br /> Member David Varner at 4:07 p.m. in the Council informal meeting <br /> room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Varner, <br /> Aranowski, Broden, Ujdak. <br /> BILL NO. 20-98 - VACATION: HILL & COLFAX <br /> Sandy Parmerlee made a presentation on behalf of St. Joseph <br /> Parish concerning this proposed vacation. It was recommended <br /> with a 4-0 vote that this vacation go to the full council with a <br /> favorable recommendation. <br /> RESOLUTION 98-26 - SLAP LEGISLATION <br /> Council Member David Varner presented SLAP legislation which <br /> prevents suits against citizens for remonstrating against public <br /> projects. Council Member Ujdak made a motion to send this <br /> Resolution to the full Council with a favorable recommendation. <br /> Council Member Aranowski seconded the motion which carried with a <br /> 4-0 vote. The meeting was adjourned. <br />
