CITY OF SOUTH BEND I HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />The public was represented by: There was no one from the public to speak <br />After due consideration the following action was taken: <br />Upon a motion by Elizabeth Hertel, seconded by Don Dietz, and carried by vote, the Historic <br />Preservation Commission APPROVES Certificate of Appropriateness Application #2022-0806A <br />with remanding of approval of exterior modifications to staff. <br />Vote: 4-1. Four in favor, one opposed. <br />COA#2022-0806A is APPROVED. <br />iii. 2022-0826 701 West LaSalle Avenue Local Landmark, Ordinance #7019-1984 <br />(Audio Position: 18:05) <br />The staff report was presented by: Adam Toering <br />Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends approval. <br />The applicant was represented by: Jonathan and Taylor Nicoletti, 701 West LaSalle Avenue, South <br />Bend, Indiana served as the applicants. <br />The public was represented by: There was no one from the public to speak <br />After due consideration the following action was taken: <br />Upon a motion by Elizabeth Hertel, seconded by Joan Downs Krostenko, and unanimously <br />carried by vote, the Historic Preservation Commission APPROVES Certificate of <br />Appropriateness Application #2022-0826 <br />Vote: 5-0. Five in favor, none opposed. <br />COA#2022-0826 is APPROVED. <br />iv. 2022-0902B 902 Riverside Drive Riverside Drive LHD, Ordinance #7469-85 <br />(Audio Position: 23:36) <br />The staff report was presented by: Adam Toering <br />Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends denial <br />The applicant was represented by: Stephen Lancaster and Kevin Vaughn, 902 Riverside Drive, <br />South Bend, Indiana served as the applicants. <br />The public was represented by: There was no one from the public to speak <br />After due consideration the following action was taken: <br />Upon a motion by Elizabeth Hertel, seconded by Joan Downs Krostenko, and carried by vote, <br />the Historic Preservation Commission AMENDS the Certificate of Appropriateness Application <br />#2022-0902B to remove portion 2 of the application "remove decorative railing on the roof of <br />the east facing porch" due to the homeowners' request to withdraw that portion of the <br />application. <br />Vote: 3-0-1. Three in favor, none opposed, two abstained <br />COA#2022-0902B is AMENDED. <br />Upon a motion by Joan Downs Krostenko, seconded by Don Dietz, and carried by vote, the <br />Historic Preservation Commission CONTINUES the hearing of the Certificate of <br />Appropriateness Application #2022-0902B to the October meeting. <br />Vote: 3-0-1.
