MBE/WBE Participation Report <br /> • hiring of a "Diversity Compliance Officer", per Section 14.5-2(i),which will require that the MWUB establish <br /> strategic priorities and goals for that position;generate a corresponding job description; interview potential <br /> candidates;and make a hiring recommendation for Common Council's approval. <br /> • developing a plan for the increased utilization of MBEs and WBEs(the MBE/WBE Utilization Plan for the City <br /> of South Bend),which plan "...shall also promote local MBE/WBE business development in the <br /> community....", per Section 14.5-3(e)(3)of the ordinance. <br /> To that end,the MWUB will continue to work diligently and meet frequently to satisfy those critical objectives,and <br /> report on our progress. <br />
