Develop traffic signal design plans for traffic signal modifications for the 3 existing
signals at the intersections of Angela Boulevard/Notre Dame Avenue, Angela
Boulevard/Eddy Street and Angela Boulevard/Leahy Drive. Traffic signal modifications
will include the following:
1) Adjust signal heads for revised lane configurations.
2) Replace signal detection with Grid Smart video detection system.
3) Replace pedestrian signal heads, push buttons and audible pedestrian signals (APS).
4) Stripe pedestrian crosswalks with high visibility markings.
5) Mast arms and poles are not being replaced. It is assumed existing structures will
accommodate adjustments to the signal head placement.
6) Existing service points to remain.
7) Preparation of signal timing in a format for direct download to the signal controller
is not included in the scope.

g. Develop traffic signal design plans for traffic signal modifications for the existing signal
at the intersection of Angela Boulevard/SR 933. Traffic signal modification will include
the following:
1) Replace pedestrian signal heads, push buttons and audible pedestrian signals (APS).
2) Stripe pedestrian crosswalks with high visibility markings.
3) Mast arms and poles are not being replaced.
4) Existing service points to remain.

h. Develop spot elevations, detail curb realignment/bumpouts, curb ramps, and add storm
sewer inlets at the following intersection’s locations:
1) Angela Boulevard and Eddy Street: All four corners, including 8 curb ramps, and
two median islands.
2) Angela Boulevard and Duey Street/Joyce Drive: All four corners, including 6 curb
ramps, and two median islands.
3) Any pavement patching along the new curb line will match the existing pavement
section, geotechnical borings or pavement design will not be performed.
4) At mid-block HAWK traffic signal crossing if required.
5) The Angela Boulevard and SR 933 curb ramps were just replaced by INDOT and
anticipated to remain in place.
6) The Angela Boulevard and Notre Dame Avenue curb ramps will remain in place
since no pavement will be replaced at the intersection.

i. Provide utility coordination and mapping for design purposes. Utility mapping will be
based upon information obtatin from utility Owners.
