Zoning and Vacation Committee <br /> January 25, 1993 <br /> Page 2 <br /> The Committee then reviewed Bill No. 108-92 which is a rezoning request for the property <br /> located at 323 Ireland Road. Council Member Slavinskas noted that this is an amended <br /> Bill. <br /> Mr. Byroni noted that both the Area Plan Staff and the Area Plan Commission sends this <br /> amended Bill to the Council with a favorable recommendation. <br /> me for Mr. <br /> . Nies odzian , who was also present made the <br /> Mr. Canfield, the attorney P Y <br /> presentation. He stated that the site in question is the old Shakey's Pizza Parlor. He then <br /> passed around pictures of the current facility located Erksine Plaza which will be relocated <br /> to the new site. He stated that the building would be used for the operation of the <br /> American ican <br /> Plumbing and Bath Store. This rezoning is <br /> necessary' i <br /> in light ht of Mr. Fozo's <br /> classification. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Washington made a motion, seconded by <br /> Council Member Coleman, that amended Bill 108-92 be recommended favorably to <br /> Council. The motion passed. <br /> Mr. Magliozzi then reviewed Bill Nos. 110-92, 111-92, 112-92, 113-92 and 114-92, <br /> which all are "islands" to be annexed into the City limits. Total acreage involved in these <br /> annexations would be 36 acres. He noted that the Economic Development Department sent <br /> out letters to each of the property owners by regular mail. <br /> The Council Attorney requested a copy of the letter which was sent and that in the future <br /> that a listing of the names and addresses of all property owners sent such notice be <br /> provided to the Chairperson of the Zoning and Vacation Committee. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Puzzello made a motion, seconded by <br /> Council Member Coleman, that Bill Nos. 110-92 through 114-92 be recommended <br /> favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br /> Council Member Slavinskas stated that in light of a representative from the Economic <br /> Development Department being present that he would recommend that the Resolutions <br /> addressing written fiscal plans, which were to be heard by the Personnel and Finance <br /> Committee, be heard under his Committee under miscellaneous business. There was <br /> acceptance of this recommendation. <br /> Upon further discussion it was further recommended by Council Member Slavinskas that <br /> the Committee and the Common Council not take action on Res. No. 93-9 which is the <br /> fiscal plan for Ironwood/Killington in light of the many questions raised by this <br /> annexation. Council Member Coleman made a motion seconded by Council Member <br /> Puzzello that Res. No. 93-9 be continued until the meeting of February, 1993 for review <br /> and discussion. The motion passed. <br /> Mr. Magliozzi then reviewed Res. No. 93-4 which is the Muessel Fiscal Plan annexation. <br /> It is of single ownership with all City services being available land would become effective <br /> on April 16, 1993. <br />
