He noted that a market study had been completed showing that residents of St. Joseph County use the mall to the greatest degree. It is also being used by individuals from the ages of 30 to 55 to the highest extent. Following further discussion, Council Member Slavinskas made a motion, seconded by Council Member Duda, that Resolution No. 93-27 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. In response to a question raised by Council President Luecke, it was noted that the mall had not been reassessed since the landscaping improvements were completed. The Committee then reviewed Resolution No. 93-35 which is a three (3) year real property tax abatement request for the property located at 3722 Foundation Court and Resolution No. 93-36 which is a five (5) year personal property tax abatement request for the same property. The owner is Aledo Company, LLC and the lessee is O-T-D Corporation. Mr. Bietzinger reviewed the favorable report from the Department of Economic Development (copy attached) . Mr. Tom Hoffman, Vice President and General Manager made a brief presentation. He noted that the Corporation is located in Houston as well as Illinois and that their market is international. They have chosen South Bend as an additional site because of its' accessibility to the toll road and the skilled work force in the area. Following further discussion, Council Member Duda made a motion, seconded by Council Member Slavinskas, that Resolution No. 93-35 and Resolution No. 93-36 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed.
