He also noted that <br /> there would be approximately $440,000.00 in the operating balance in the Park <br /> Department. <br /> Council Member Slavinskas voiced concern with regard to transferring money for many of <br /> the same line items and same departments each year. <br /> Kevin Horton noted that the self insurance fund had 1.2 million dollars but would lose <br /> $800,000.00 in this account this year. Increased claims would cause this lose. It was also <br /> noted that on page 2 of Bill No. 100-92 that the classification should read "Water Works <br /> Depreciation Fund" and "Park Department Services". <br /> Council Member Ladewski noted that he would be attending the League of Cities <br /> Convention and would check into how other cities are addressing the rising cost of <br /> insurance. He also noted that as a member of the Labor/Management Committee that they <br /> are reviewing claims of approximately $100,000.00 per week. <br /> Mr. Horton noted that in 1991 2.4 million dollars in claims were approved and in 1992 3.3 <br /> million dollars in claims will be approved. Approximately one-half of the claims for this <br /> year are from 48 people. Accordingly, only $300,000.00 would remain in reserve in this <br /> account. Following further discussion President Luecke made a motion seconded by <br /> Council Member Ladewski that Bills No. 99-92 and 100-92 be recommended favorably to <br /> Council. The motion passed. <br /> The Committee then reviewed Resolution No. 92-86 regarding a lease for suite 100 of the <br /> First Bank Building. Mr. Robert Nagle reviewed the proposed resolution. He noted that it <br /> is for a two year lease with an option for a third year. Mary Hall Mueller of the City- <br /> Attorney's office also spoke in favor of the proposed resolution. She noted that it is <br /> anticipated that the Building Department would be able to move into the facility prior to the <br /> end of the year. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Zakrzewski made a motion, seconded by <br /> Council Member Ladewski, that Resolution no. 92-86 be recommended favorably to <br /> Council.
